Suppor Venezuela advance
Real Impact Thanks to You: Relief Fund Report for Venezuela
Dear Community,
Sometimes creativity and solidarity have the power to heal, cross borders, and rebuild lives. Today, we want to take a special moment to share the fruits of your generosity and show you the direct impact your support is creating.
Although we at Casa de la Cultura have been working hard on our regularly scheduled seasonal programs which slightly delayed this report our commitment to transparency and to our brothers and sisters in need remains as strong as ever. We want every person who donated, shared, or collaborated to know that their contribution reached exactly where it was needed most.
📊 Transparency & Impact by the Numbers
Thanks to the heart of our community, special events, and direct contributions, we reached a total fundraising goal of $7,394, broken down as follows:
- Sip & Paint with Di: $1,895
- "We Do What We Know" Art Auction: $1,250 (Thanks to the generosity of 35 artists from Charlotte and other cities)
- Colombian Multicultural Festival: $300
- General Fundraising & Direct Donations: $3,949
To date, $5,381.56 has been directly invested in supplies, food, and emotional healing programs for the affected communities. We continue to work alongside our ground partners to deploy the remaining funds toward ongoing relief efforts.
On-the-Ground Relief: Where Did Your Help Go?
In response to recent local hardships, our emergency relief teams delivered essential kits containing food staples, hygiene products, and blankets.
Behind every number is a story of comfort, warm meals, and hope. Working alongside the Office of Religious Affairs of the City of Los Teques, the Augustinian Recollect Sisters of Venezuela, Maestras Solidarias, and grassroots initiatives like Arte para Sanar (Art to Heal) and Que Siga la Creatividad (Parque del Este), we brought direct support to severely affected communities in La Guaira, Caracas, El Junquito, El Jarillo, and Paracotos:
- 🍲 Nutrition & Meal Distribution: Fed 300 families in El Junquito and El Jarillo. Prepared and distributed 250 meals in Paracotos and 600 meals in La Guaira.
- 🎈 Joy for the Children: Celebrated Children's Day in a La Guaira community by delivering 200 gift bags with toys. Organized recreational events in Plaza Venezuela, La Guaira's Ground Zero, and Parque del Este.
- 🎨 Art as Healing: Created and distributed 180 drawing and painting kits, complete with art workshops so children could find emotional refuge and healing through creative expression.
- 👵 Caring for Our Elders: Delivered recreational activities, care packages, and companionship to senior citizens at a nursing home in La Guaira.

Rebuilding takes time, and the need remains high. We still have a select group of donated artworks that will soon be placed on auction through the Casa de la Cultura website to continue raising funds for ongoing aid. Stay tuned to our platforms to bid on a meaningful piece of art and keep transforming lives.
Thank you to everyone who donated and inspired others to give. You have proven that distance disappears when art and empathy bring us together.
P.S. A Note for Colombianísimas: We also want to share that $150 raised during the Colombian Multicultural Festival will be allocated directly to support relief efforts for affected areas in Colombia through our Colombianísimas initiative. Stay tuned for a brief update on this project coming soon!
